T553 is a liquid, oil‑soluble metal deactivator derived from triazoles, distinguished by its “ultra‑low concentration and high efficiency.” Adding just 0.005% to 0.01% can effectively enhance the oxidation stability of lubricants; in particular, when used in transformer oils to replace part of the conventional antioxidants, it delivers significant economic benefits. T553 exhibits excellent oil solubility, with the key advantage of not forming insoluble salts when combined with ZDDP, ensuring outstanding compatibility. It can be compounded with common additives such as antioxidants, rust inhibitors, viscosity modifiers, anti‑wear agents, and detergents/dispersants, offering broad formulation flexibility. It is primarily employed in transformer oils, anti‑wear hydraulic fluids, and various industrial lubricants, and is equally effective in both oil‑in‑water and water‑in‑oil emulsions.
