Product Overview

T571 is a methylbenzotriazole derivative, classified as a liquid oil-soluble metal passivator and corrosion inhibitor. It exhibits excellent oil solubility, low volatility, and contains no diluent oils, ensuring it does not react with metal additives. T571 effectively precipitates metal ions, thereby inhibiting their oxidative catalytic activity and significantly enhancing the antioxidant properties of lubricating oils. Particularly when combined with compatible antioxidants in API Class II and III base oils, T571 demonstrates outstanding antioxidant performance according to ASTM testing protocols. Additionally, it provides robust protection for metals such as copper and copper alloys, effectively preventing electrochemical corrosion as well as the erosive attack of active substances on metal surfaces.

Performance Characteristics

① Excellent Synergistic Performance: When compounded with compatible antioxidant additives in API Class II and III base oils, the combination significantly enhances the oxidation stability of the lubricant.

② Outstanding corrosion resistance: Exhibiting high activity even at low concentrations, it effectively inhibits the catalytic oxidation of oil by metals, significantly enhancing the oxidative stability of the oil and delaying performance degradation caused by oxidation. This ultimately reduces maintenance and replacement costs.

③ Significant passivation effect: Effectively precipitates metal ions, inhibits electrochemical corrosion on metal surfaces, and simultaneously blocks the catalytic role of ions in oxidation reactions, significantly reducing the risk of corrosion and metal degradation.

④ Excellent solubility and stability: Exhibits outstanding oil solubility, enabling complete miscibility with various base oils such as mineral oil, thereby forming a homogeneous and stable system. Additionally, it features low volatility, minimizing evaporation during use and ensuring long-term stability within the oil formulation. This maintains effective concentration levels, allowing for sustained protective performance.
