NT5186 is an ashless, multifunctional liquid additive that, as a thiazole‑dodecylthiol derivative, simultaneously provides metal deactivation (passivation), extreme‑pressure and anti‑wear performance, and auxiliary antioxidant benefits. Even at low loadings, it effectively inhibits the corrosive action of active sulfur on copper and copper alloys, while synergistically enhancing the performance of sulfur‑containing extreme‑pressure additives. It is widely used in automotive and industrial lubricants as well as metalworking fluids, significantly improving equipment protection and extending oil service life.
Performance Features
① Superior copper corrosion inhibition: Effectively neutralizes active sulfur‑induced corrosion, protects copper and copper alloy components, and extends equipment service life.
② Outstanding metal deactivation: chelates copper, iron, and other metal ions, inhibiting catalytic oxidation and extending the service life of lubricants.
③ Synergistic extreme-pressure and anti-wear performance: helps form a protective film on metal surfaces, reduces friction and wear, and protects mechanical components.
④ Highly effective antioxidant assistance: inhibits oxidative degradation of lubricants, enhances system stability, and extends oil-change intervals.
⑤ Excellent oil-solubility compatibility: Exhibits outstanding solubility in base oils and formulated blends, with excellent compatibility.
Scope of Application
① Industrial lubricants: gear oils, hydraulic oils, compressor oils, and turbine oils.
② Automotive lubricants: engine oil, gear oil, and transmission fluid.
③ Metalworking fluids: cutting fluids, grinding fluids, and forming fluids.
④ Lubricating Grease: industrial lubricating grease, automotive lubricating grease.
⑤ Specialty oils: transformer oil, fuel additives.
Recommended dosage
Lubricating oil: 0.1%–0.5%
Lubricating grease: 0.1%–2.0%
