Product Overview

NT5986 is an ashless, multifunctional liquid additive. As a thiazole‑nonyl mercaptan derivative, it exhibits excellent copper corrosion inhibition and metal deactivation, while also providing anti‑wear, extreme‑pressure, and auxiliary antioxidant properties. Compatible with both mineral and synthetic oil systems, it is widely used in automotive lubricants, industrial lubricants, and metalworking fluids.

 

Performance Features

① Excellent copper corrosion inhibition: Effectively prevents the corrosive attack of active sulfur on copper and copper alloys, thereby reducing corrosion-related failures.

② Excellent metal deactivating performance: neutralizes the catalytic oxidation effects of copper and iron ions, thereby extending the service life of lubricants.

③ Multi‑functional extreme‑pressure protection: Under high‑pressure, heavy‑load conditions, it forms a robust lubricating film, enhancing the machine’s load‑carrying capacity.

④ Highly effective antioxidant assistance: inhibits oxidative degradation of lubricants, maintains stable performance, and extends oil-change intervals.

⑤ Ashless formulation: Utilizes ashless additives to ensure no residue at high temperatures, keeping the system clean and optimizing lubrication performance.

 

Scope of Application

① Industrial lubricants: gear oils, hydraulic oils, compressor oils, and turbine oils.

② Automotive lubricants: engine oil, gear oil, and transmission fluid.

③ Metalworking fluids: cutting fluids, grinding fluids, and forming fluids.

④ Lubricating Greases: industrial lubricating greases, automotive lubricating greases.

⑤ Specialty oils: transformer oil, fuel additives.

 

Recommended dosage

Lubricating oil: 0.1%–0.5%

Lubricating grease: 0.1%–2.0%
