Product Overview
NANO-BORON 2060G is an environmentally friendly, halogen-free flame retardant containing boron and nitrogen. It exhibits excellent flame‑retardant performance and outstanding dispersibility, while being non‑toxic, poorly soluble in water, and highly thermally stable. Under extremely high temperatures, it decomposes to form a boron trioxide (B₂O₃) protective layer that adheres to the polymer surface, creating a dense coating. This coating both suppresses the generation of flammable gases and inhibits oxidation and thermal decomposition, thereby delivering superior flame retardancy. As a highly efficient and eco‑friendly novel flame retardant, it finds broad applications in plastics, rubber, coatings, and lubricating greases; when used in greases, it also enhances the product’s load‑carrying capacity.
Performance Features
① Safe and non-irritating: odorless, non-irritating to skin and eyes, non‑contact toxic, non‑corrosive to metals, and compliant with EU technical requirements for imported additives.
② High dispersion efficiency: It can be easily dispersed into grease without the need for homogenization, effectively improving production efficiency.
③ High‑efficiency flame retardancy: Particularly suitable for ultra‑high‑temperature greases, it can significantly raise the product’s flash point while reducing smoke generation during combustion.
④ Auxiliary lubricity: When added to greases as an extreme-pressure and anti‑friction additive, the solid lubricants it contains possess a layered structure, providing excellent lubrication even at low temperatures while also enhancing load‑carrying capacity.
⑤ Excellent inert compatibility: It does not disrupt the colloidal structure of greases and does not adversely affect other physicochemical properties, such as mechanical stability and colloidal stability, making it suitable for high‑end greases including polyurea, lithium‑based, complex lithium‑based, complex aluminum‑based, and complex calcium‑sulfonate‑based formulations.
Scope of Application
It is used in industrial applications such as plastics, rubber, coatings, and greases, and is particularly well suited for ultra‑high‑temperature greases, offering both superior flame retardancy and enhanced load‑carrying capacity.
